The Maneater seems a bit odd
The Maneater
A green staff requiring Divine Favor, and giving half cast to Divine Favor Skills
Rragar Maneater
But the boss it appears to be named after looks to be a Me/Mo with 3 Domination spells, 1 healing prayers spell, and a monster skill. And with a name like Maneater you would expect some sort of offensive setup. But it is linked to divine favor, where the closest thing to an offensive skill (smiters boon) has a 1/4 second cast.
Am I the only one who feels like there is something slightly odd about this green ?

You're confusing [wiki]The Scar Eater[/wiki] with [wiki]Jayne Forestlight[/wiki]...

And Jayne Forestlight dropping the Vera is a reference to Firefly.

Yeah this is poor design or lack of creativity in my view.
Something more games are suffering from more and more actually. It seems that economy and item distribution are more important than things actually making sense in-game.
It is not surprising that a most of the GWEN greens never got priced over 10k. In fact I rarely see people WTB GWEN skins, even gold items....Murakai's Reaver maybe and that's about it.
I hope that more though will be put into this sort of thing in GW2. It's too bad when this sort of thing sneaks in.
For those who know Warhammer 40K look at the latest Chaos codex and see how a character called "the Eternal" is not an "Eternal Warrior" and daemons do not have daemonic weapons...
C'mon game designers...stay on top of your games. It's sloppy really.

i think its reasonable. its a weapon that you get for completing the dungeon. plus the boss is at least part monk. what i really think is weird is that the same chest can give you daggers, a sheild, and a spear.

its not unreasonable to assume that once the main Dev moves on, the team that is left behind tends to be people who are "just" that, devs/programmers. They know how to code but...they dont PLAY and they dont really know wth is going on gameworldwise.
